New Richmond Alpaca Farm to exhibit at the Festival
Attendees of the Original Creative Fesival were able to see firsthand what an ALPACA is – they were live at the show June 28-30 at the Sharonville Convention Center. New Richmond Alpaca Farm brought an alpaca to their booth where shoppers could purchase clothing items such as sweaters, hats, scarves, gloves, socks, stuffed animals etc, all made from the ALPACA fleece from their animals. Make it - Model it - Be creative Announcing the Heartstrings Talent Contest
at the 2012 Original Creative Festival Sewing enthusiasts createed one-of-a-kind
matching aprons "Mommy and Me" style using the Kwik Sew 103
patterns. Adults and children modeled their creations at the
Festival on Thursday June 28. DETAILS

Attendees were inspired as models from SquigglyTwigs Designs showed some of their fun and creative collection of easy to sew patterns for Boutique styled clothing for all. Attendees were invited to

Connection!
During the Festival attendees had
the
opportunity to sit and sew a seam for charity.
We used the 6- Hour Quilt by Kaye Wood, famous quilt teacher, author and hostess
of TV's Kaye's Quilting Friends Machines for the LoveQuilt Connection
supplied by Seams Sew Easy of Fairfield OH. DETAILS
African American Quilt and Doll Guild (AAQDG)
The philosophy of the AAQDG is to share their work, ideas and talents in a comfortable and caring atmosphere. To explore the African American heritage with respect to the textile ares. To teach and inspire each other.
The AAQDG provided some wonderful quilts and dolls on display for the Original Creative Festival exhibit area.
Irena Bluhm Quilt Exhibit
Irena Bluhm is a quilter, instructor, pattern designer and author of eight books.
Irena displayed many of her award winning quilts at the Festival.
Attendees enjoyed viewing the results of her techniques and she was there to answer questions.
This is just a sample of Irena's work. Many more were displayed at the Festival
Aunt Ruth's Quilt Shop Quilt Exhibit Aunt Ruth's Quilt Shop brought a new display
of quilts to the Festival. Their display was across from
their booth in the vendor hall.
A Stitch Above Needlepoint Exhibit
A Stitch Above Needlepoint displayed a wide variety of needlepoint art at the Festival. We're sure these beautiful works of art inspired attendees to create your own, A Stitch Above Needle point was there to help attendees get their projects started. A Stitch Above is located in Maderia, Ohio (12 miles from downtown Cincinnati).
Fun Food for Body and Soul Exhibit Feeds Needy Children
Sales of the donated 22" quilts and "1905 Cookbooks" along with 150 antique quilts on BuckboardQuilts.com go to feed needy children.
Special quilt art exhibits included Pilgrim/Roy Challenge 2012 provided by the National Quilt Museum, Paducah, KY.
